You came here for news, not legal pages. Still, this is where I explain what happens to the information you share with https://osiris.news and how I keep it safe.
Who I Am
This site is run by me, Dr. P. You can reach me directly at dr.p@osiris.news if you have any privacy questions.
What I Collect and Why
I keep it simple:
Email addresses: If you subscribe to my newsletter through Beehiiv, I get your email. I use it to send you the updates you signed up for.
Basic browsing data: I use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, how long they stay, and what devices they use. It helps me improve the site.
Cookies: Like most websites, I use cookies to keep things running smoothly and make the site easier to use.
How Long I Keep Your Data
Emails: As long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, Beehiiv deletes you from the list.
Analytics data: Stored by Google for their standard retention period.
Comments (if enabled): Kept indefinitely to recognize follow-ups and reduce spam.
Who I Share Your Data With
Your data is not for sale. I only share it with the services I use to run this site:
Beehiiv for newsletter delivery
Google Analytics for site insights
LiteSpeed/QUIC.cloud for site performance (see their privacy policy)
Your Rights
If you live in the EU or California, you can:
Ask what personal data I have about you.
Request that I delete it by unsubscribing or emailing me.
Adjust your cookie preferences in your browser.
Embedded Content
Sometimes my articles include embedded content like videos, tweets, or charts. These behave as if you visited the other site directly, which means those sites may collect data about you too.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no website can promise perfect security.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top so you know.
Questions?
Email me at dr.p@osiris.news. I actually read them.
